A little about our town
Blackville is located in Barnwell County, along the SC Heritage
Corridor. Visitors may enjoy the Region 3 Discovery Center, with
hands-on features highlighting the region's connection to the railroad
and agricultural industries and giving a historical background on
Bamberg, Barnwell, Orangeburg, and Aiken Counties.
Driving through the rural town will take you past corn fields, pastures,
and barns. Right off the main road you will find an artesian well, God's
Acre Healing Springs, where locals and tourists stop to fill their water
bottles. Blackville is also home to a small Mennonite community. One of
the Mennonite families runs Miller's Bread Basket, a popular restaurant
on Blackville's Main Street.
